Another GRL Post

So I thought I'd do a quick post about some of the fun (and not so fun) things that happened at GRL.

This is Thursday's.

Thursday
Arrival day.  I stood downstairs during the welcome lunch because they were renovating the hotel and I was scared to "cane" my way down the hallway by myself.  But I am so glad that I did.  While standing downstairs I met Cherie Noel, Jambrea Jones, Stephani Hecht, Amber Kell, TA Chase, Carol Lynne, Ethan Stone, Damon Suede, Ethan Day, and Devon Rhodes.  I had a fanboi moment for all of them.  I squealed and hugged them and...got free stuff.  While it was TOTALLY not my intention, I was so happy that I got extra free swag on top of what was in my registration bag.  That was the first time that Damon and I stepped off to the side to talk (and where my crushing on him began).  I hung out a bit with Shae Connor in her room before showering and heading out to my hotel room to drop off the rest of my luggage before heading over to the Gentlemen's Juke Joint w/Damon Suede and Ethan Day.

Thursday Night

I got lost on the way to the Gentlemen's Juke Joint (stupid cab driver), and by the time I got there everyone had already started drinking so I had to play catch-up (and I did it so well).  It was here that I met LC Chase, Xara X Xanakas, MJ O'Shea, Taylor Donovan, and Piper Vaughn.  We all clicked and connected so well that we were with each other for the rest of the weekend.  It was this night that I met Paco, the go-go boy (*sigh* Ahh Paco....) and Taylor Donovan paid for me to have a taste (*giggle*).  This is also when I met Jimmy the bartender and discovered "Jimmy Juice" a lovely white, frothy liquid, thick, warms your throat going down and leaves a wonderful aftertaste.  LOL.  I know, how dirty right?  But it was our running joke the whole weekend for his special drink.  That was also where I met two other go-go boys, where I met a host of other readers and authors (most of whom were like: "Are you Vic?!" *blush*) and it was just...so cool.  I got very tipsy and it was nice.  Then I met the two ladies who were like oozing "sub" and the Dom in me perked up something fierce.  LOL.  *Shivers*  Anyway.  Cherie Noel and I left before the party was over, we were both tired and I was STARVING.  So we went across the street to this diner that boasted of having the world's greatest hamburger....they weren't lying.  I DREAM about this burger.  LOL.  It was the greatest thing ever.  It was also here that Cherie and I were privvy to this really cute police officer flirting with and hitting on a few guys.  One of them he said he knew and they went to school together, but with how close they were standing and the looks that passed between them....yeah, let's just say we knew what sort of relationship they had.  But it was the officers interaction with the waiter that drew both Cherie's and my attention and we both could see a book developing before our eyes (*rolls eyes* This is what happens when you hang out with authors).  We left eventually after finishing our food and headed back to our hotels.  We made plans to meet up the next morning for Beignets and Cafe-au-Lait and after an experience I'd rather forget with one of the stores on Bourbon street (always watch how many times your card gets swapped when purchasing something-I'm just saying), I headed back to my room where I took another shower (I smelled like liquor, sweat, and go-go boy ass *sighs "Paco"*), and then after a quick call and text and jumping online to check emails I passed out on the bed and passed out. I slept through my cemetery walk the next morning but I made it in time for the beignets and cafe-au-lait.

I'll tell you guys ALL about Friday tomorrow.

GRL Post

Here are some pictures and a vid or two of when I was at GRL in New Orleans.  Some of these are pics that I took, some are from Poppy or Jackie or Jambrea or Piper but as promised these are the pics for you all.  BTW, I'm even posting up the "Thorny Hugs" that we managed to capture on video.  That was probably one of the funniest times there.  Those of us who saw the list that Thorny put up of people to hug would randomly walk up to each other and say: "Thorny Hug!" and then we would hug, giggle, laugh and if someone was around with a camera they'd snap a shot. Enjoy the photos and the short videos of me walking down the streets in New Orleans (ignore my voice *shudder*).-Vic

GayRomLit Retreat-Day One

I'M HERE!!!!!

I've already met TA Chase, Damon Suede, Ellis Carrington, Stephani Hecht, Amber Kell, Jambrea Jones, Cherie Noel, Shae Connor, Ethan Day, Carol Lynne......and I screamed when I met every single one of them.  They all offered their condolences about my granny, they all hugged me and all want to talk with me more, they even want to talk with me about being transgender.

And I have a date for cocktails with Damon.

*Girlish squeal*

I've got pictures for you all and yes, Thorny, I gave Damon a hug from you.

Off to take a vampire tour and then to have cocktails at the Gentlemen Juke Joint.

*Sigh*

Next year you're ALL coming!!!!  Even if I have to pay for you myself!!

Inconceivable: Book Two of the Tate Pack Series is NOW Available!!

Blurb:

Tommy Wilkins, a.k.a. "Tammy Walks" was happy with his life as one of the highest paid drag queen performers in New York City. He had a gorgeous apartment in Greenwich Village, men throwing themselves at his feet and he had lots of money in the bank. He didn't need the family that shunned him, the boyfriend that used to beat the hell out of him or even the gorgeous sexy linebacker looking Texan cowboy, named Anton "Ton" Forrester, that his friend Richard introduced him too. All he needed was himself.

But Ton wasn't going to give up so easily because you see, Tommy is his mate, and he wants all of him, makeup, heels, dresses and costumes included. He wants to heal every scar and make the smaller man believe in love again.

There's only one problem, someone is determined to keep the two men apart, even if they have to kill Tommy to do so.

My SECOND book: Inconceivable: Book Two of the Tate Pack Series is NOW available for purchase online.  And guess what?  (*whispers*) This time it even has a sexy cover that I think you'll enjoy!!

Passion's Hero: The Beta Prince (Update)

I’m almost finished with book two of the Passion’s Hero series, “The Beta Prince.”  I’m amazed at how quickly the books are developing.  I was planning on sending book one off and THEN starting on book two, but it’s looking as if I’m going to have two books done before I get a definite response from the publishers.
Meanwhile, I did something a little nutty (I know, no surprise there).  I have created Facebook accounts for all of the main characters (the different heroes) from the Passion’s Hero series.  Talon Versuthion, Blazell Roughshire, Buckington Roughshire, Percival Taunton, Mailon Saungfreid, Duke Mufariso, Trenton Versuthion, Rico Suavez, Tuvarion Versuthion, Franklin Mufariso, and Sutton Castezi are all on Facebook.  They talk and conversate just as if they were real.
Just thought I’d let you all know, just in case you wanted to friend them ahead of time.  Once the books get covers I’ll be able to give them all profile pictures, but for now they don’t have any.
Hope everyone has been doing well this last week.  Between writing and suffering majorly from insomnia and listening to my idiot doctor who wants to schedule me for an EKG because I “MIGHT” have CHF (Congestive Heart Failure), I haven’t been able to blog like I want, but it’s not because I haven’t thought about it, I have, I just haven’t gotten around to doing it.
Also, if you all want something really good to read (you know while you’re waiting for my books to be published), may I suggest the Midnight Matings Series by Gabrielle Evans, Joyee Flynn and Stormy Glenn or The Brac Pack Series by Lynn Hagen.  I’m addicted to both series, I’m talking about buying it as soon as it’s available and downloading it the moment I can “addicted.”  Between those and EVERY single book written by Mary Calmes, T.A. Chase, J.L Langley and Stephani Hecht, I spend quite a bit of time reading (usually when I’m trying to get some sleep).
So I hope you all are doing well.  Hugs and Kisses!  And by the way The Passion’s Hero series is going to be published under the author name: VVee Bailey or just VVee.
Which do you all suggest?
