Passion's Hero: The Alpha King Update & Sexy Inspiration-NSFW

I have written 34,929 words out of the 80,000 that I projected for Passion's Hero: The Alpha King.

I am taking a break right now, my mind is swirling with big burly wolf shifters, sexy twinks, space travel, other worlds, villains, steamy mansex, family drama, secrets, steamy mansex, animal hybrids, steamy mansex, pet flowers, steamy mansex, unexpected roles, steamy mansex, hidden powers, steamy mansex and steamy mansex.

So I'm answering emails, looking at some gorgeous pictures on my Tumblr, playing Sims 3, and deciding if I want to get up to get something to eat.

On the plus side, I've packed for NOLA!  Woohoo!!

I guess I'll go eat and then get back to writing.

I need INSPIRATION!!! (The first and the fourth image should be moving-in a very nice way-if not click on them I guess)

Prologue for Passion's Hero: The Alpha King

So I thought I'd share the Prologue for Passion's Hero: The Alpha King which is Book One of the Passion's Hero series.  When I first wrote the book it was 80,000 words, then I pared it down because I thought that it was too long and it became 24,000 words.  But apparently I'd taken out a lot that should have been left in so I'm editing and rewriting the book until it returns to its 80,000 words version, or as close as I can possibly get it.

But anyway, here is the Prologue for the book:

Prologue

“Please, we beg you.  You have to save us!” the President of the United States of America pleaded with the leaders of the Galaxy Planetary Allegiance.  He visibly trembled and Torqran, the Commander of the Planet Strawxig looked at the screen with look of apathy.  The other leaders of the GPA as well as a few advisors, Elders, and planetary leaders watched as the humans pleaded for help from the other planets.  The humans had been amazingly arrogant up until that moment, certain that they could save themselves, heal their planet, and do it all without any help from those that they termed “aliens.”  However, when all of their efforts proved fruitless and the whole of the planet only contained 300 remaining humans all from different countries, speaking different languages, having different religions and ethnicities, the human leaders finally knew that it was time to ask for help.
“We cannot survive if you don’t save us.  We can’t survive.  We need your help.  Please help us.  PLEASE!” the American President shouted into the screen and Torqran, a snake shifter, pressed the switch to stop the vid stream with the pad of his scaly-skinned finger.  With a sigh, and a brief flick of his forked tongue against his bottom lip, he shifted his finger and tongue back into their male form and turned his chair to face the rest of the leaders and those who had the ambition to become leaders, and knew that something had to be done.
“And as you know, we helped those filthy creatures.  We knew that the only way to complete eradiate them was to help them and breed them with our species in order to completely phase out the human species.  Those filthy bastards didn’t follow the protocol, however, and instead of the humans dying out, we have four new breed of humanoids and while they are little better than those filthy Earthlings that our ancestors helped centuries ago, they are a vast improvement over those sniveling, arrogant, self-destructive assholes that they once were.”  Torqran watched as everyone nodded their heads in agreement and understanding.  The humanoids were not a breed that was universally liked, but they were much better than their predecessors.  Torqran glanced up when his second-in-command, Lorthander, his secret lover and brother of his wife, walked into the back of the room and nodded.  He gave the merest hint of a nod in acknowledgment and then smiled at the rest of the room.
“As you all know the real reason we are here is because of one specific breed of humanoid,” with a nod to Lorthander, Torqran continued speaking, watching as the larger man, a warrior of Strawxig, passed out folders to everyone in attendance. “In this folder is the information we have received about a particular breed of humanoid.  The Vermithians.  While we know that their bodies adapt to that of their mates in order for them to all get pregnant and have children, we did not have the evidence years ago that we have now.  Our scientists have been studying the offspring of Vermithian parents and they have a genetic anamoly that puts them beyond their expected gifts of being able to talk with nature and animals, beyond that of being able to heal others, but there is a new strand of Vermithians whose blood is infinitely more corrupted with that of their ancestors.”
“What the hell are you trying to say Lorthander?” a voice spoke up from the back of the room, his voice low and laced with anger and annoyance.  Lorthander knew who it was, he knew what planet the man came from…he also knew that this man was not one that he wanted to piss off, because this man was crazy enough to try and kill him…right now, in front of everyone.
“I am saying that the Vermithians have the ability to save the human gene and more than that, there is a family,” Lorthander grit his teeth, he hated to admit this. “Who is so powerful and so special that we haven’t been able to get close to them, but what we do know is that this particular family has the ability and the power to create a pure human race…regardless of whom they mate.”
Lorthander waited for the gasps and cries of shock, outrage and dismay to die down before he continued.  “Our best chance is to completely kill off this family of Vermithians and then to find every documented and even undocumented Vermithian and kill them all,” he advised.  He watched as everyone nodded their heads, in complete agreement and he got ready to hand out assignments and to lay out the details.
Without a sound and with no noticeable movement at all the man from the back of the room stood in front of him, covered head to toe in all black.  Lorthander tried not to gasp as he took in the man’s large frame and hard, cold, emotionless eyes.  Standing his ground he tilted his head and tried to seem much more confident and laid back.
“What is the name of this family that you want to dispose of?” he asked in a low voice, though everyone could hear his question and suddenly the room became frozen, no one breathed, no one spoke as if they were all awaiting Lorthander’s response.
With a cold, calculating smile Lorthander replied with seven words, two sentences that dramatically changed the universe, the GPA and history forever,” The Versuthions. We must kill the Versuthions.”

~~**~~                       ~~**~~                       ~~**~~                       ~~**~~

Talon Versuthion whispered to his pet flower, the stalk swayed and the petals bobbed in reply, and then smiled up at his parents when they rushed into his room.  He loved talking to the flowers and plants that his parents had put up all around his room.  His younger brothers had pet animals, most of which had to be kept outside, but Talon’s flowers were in the room with him.  He loved the fact that when he woke up every morning they were right there, waiting to talk to him, it made him feel special and it made him feel loved.  Well, more loved than he already felt.  His parents were pretty awesome.
His father, Taltrentuvaro, knelt in front of him and put his hands on either side of his face and Talon smiled at him.  His father didn’t smile back and Talon tilted his head to the side.  Why wasn’t his father smiling?  His father always smiled.  He heard the distant sounds of his mother rushing around the room, crying and sniffling, beeps and slamming noises letting Talon know that she was opening his drawers and toy chests for some reason.
Looking back up at his father he saw his father’s eyes fill with tears.  Talon lifted his own hands and put them on his father’s cheeks to wipe away the tears that had escaped.  He had never seen his father cry before and it scared him.  It filled him with a fear that he had never known before.
“Papa?  What’s wrong?” he asked.
Taltrentuvaro shook his head and then turned to kiss the palms of both of Talon’s hands, “Nothing my son.  Your mother and I are merely going out for a drive.  We’re going to send you over to Mrs. Lorankia’s house for a while.”
Talon’s mouth opened in gasp and then he began to shake his head frantically.  He hated Mrs. Lorankia!  They all did, especially his two younger brothers.  Trenton said she smelled like the replicas of the ancient humans that they saw in the museum.  Whereas Tuvarion said that she was just as stupid as the ancient humans.  Talon just thought she was mean.  She spent a lot of time telling the three Versuthion boys that they were abominations and that their parents were going to get what was coming to them one day.  Mrs. Lorankia wasn’t Vermithian like they were, she was Edifician, but his parents told him that that didn’t mean that she was better than them, just different.
Talon didn’t too much like different right then.
“No Papa!  No!  We hate Mrs. Lorankia!  Please don’t make us go!  What if she tries to eat Tuvarion again?  She says that he’s way too pretty to be a boy,” Talon pleaded with his father, not noticing the looks of grief and horror that passed between his parents.
“Well no worries there, my son, Trenton and Tuvarion aren’t going to stay with her.  Only you.  They have already left to go and…visit some friends and that’s where your mother and I are going right now, to go and pick them up,” his father reassured him.
Talon nodded.  As long as Tuvarion didn’t have to go and deal with Mrs. Lorankia and listen to her say mean things to him that made him cry, then he guessed it was okay if he went alone.  His father kissed his forehead and then his mother came over and clutched him to her chest fiercely.  She hugged him so tightly that he felt his face flush hot and the air leave his lungs.  She had never hugged him so tight and instead of filling him with love and a feeling of security, it filled him with fear.
His parents rushed him over to an obviously reluctant Mrs. Lorankia’s care and then with a final hug and kiss from them both, they left to go and pick up his brothers from wherever they were.  Talon knew that they would return soon but he couldn’t seem to shake the bad feeling that had taken up residence in his stomach.  He waited and waited for their return.  So did Mrs. Lorankia.
He never saw his parents again and his brothers had been taken away from him.  Talon was all alone and he knew that he would never give someone else the chance to leave him behind again.

Inconceivable: Part Fourteen

*So I hadn't planned on putting up another installment because "Unthinkable" and "Inconceivable" are both going to be published through Lulu.com (as will the entire Tate Pack Series) but since yesterday was so fabulous and today was EVEN BETTER and Lucy/Kat asked me for another installment, I'm going to post up part 14 for you all!  {HUGZ AND SQUEEZES} Vee/Vic*

Part Fourteen:

     Tommy swayed his hips in time with the music, his head thrown back as he sang "You and I" by Lady Gaga at the top of his lungs.  He wore a tight black leather mini-skirt, an extremely low cut silk white blouse, black high heels, his hair was pulled up into an elegant up-do, with tendrils of his black hair framing his face.  His flawlessly, make-up covered face.  He looked stunning and he knew that he did.  As he continued to perform for the audience he looked out over the faces that were there and saw that none of them seemed to be enjoying his performance.  They all seemed horrified by him.  He stumbled on the stage and looked around wondering what was the problem and saw a trail of blood all over the stage.  He froze mid lyric and gasped.  Who was bleeding on the stage?  Looking around he realized that no one was up there but him.  Was he bleeding?  But how was that possible?  He couldn't feel any pain or the loss of any blood.  Maybe it was a practical joke.
     Looking back out at the audience he saw that there were two men standing.  He squinted his eyes, the stage lights momentarily blinding him.  When his gaze cleared he saw himself looking into the hateful eyes of Adam Quinn.....Adam Quinn holding a gun pointed at Tommy.  Turning his gaze to the other man, he saw that it was Ton and he looked furious.  The only problem was he was looking at Tommy.
     "Ant?" he questioned as he stepped forward, his hand outstretched.  He heard Adam pull release the safety and felt fear ice his veins.  He heard Ton growl and he looked back at him, confused by his reaction.
     "Don't.  You.  Dare," Ton growled at him and Tommy took a step back.
     "Me?  Dare what?" Tommy asked, his voice frantic as he watched Adam take aim at him again.
     "Don't you dare let him take you away from me," Ton said angrily.
     Tommy shook his head.  Surely Ton understood that it wasn't his choice?  Adam was holding a gun.  How was he supposed to fight against a gun?  He wasn't a wolf shifter.  He wasn't big and strong like his mate.  He was a human.  A frail human.  A small, cross-dressing gay man.  How the hell was he supposed to fight against a bullet?
     "Love," he heard Ton respond and his shocked gaze swung to him.
     "What?" he croaked out and he watched with equal parts trepidation and hope as Ton walked up the steps to join him on stage.  The bigger man stopped in front of him and took his face in his hands gently.  He smiled down at him and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead.
     "Love.  Didn't you say that you loved me?" Ton asked and Tommy merely nodded.  Ton grinned, "Well, I love you too and you can't leave me.  I won't survive with out you.  So if you really love me like you say you do then you'll fight to stay with me.  You'll fight for us.  That love will bring you back to me.  So don't you dare let him win."
     Tommy nodded and lifted up on his toes to kiss his mate.  That speech had been the most beautiful and eloquent thing that he'd ever heard the cowboy say.  Richard must have coached him.  He heard Ton growl and giggled when he realized that the other man must have understood his thoughts.  He opened his mouth when he heard Adam yell out and heard the gun fire.  His body jerked as if shocked and he clung to Ton's neck.
     "CLEAR!" he heard a distant voice yell seconds before another jolt of electricity shot through his body.
     "C'mon baby, don't give up.  Don't let him win. Fight!" he heard Ton yelling at him.  He nodded and tried to speak again.
     "CLEAR!" that voice sounded closer and Tommy felt another, stronger jolt of electricity shock through his system.
     "Come back to me!  Tommy please!" Ton was crying now.  Why was Ton crying?  And then Tommy saw it.  A bright light shone on one side of the stage and Ton stood at the other side.  The light felt warm, comforting and inviting.  But.....Ton was waiting for him and Ton was crying.  But the light felt so good, it was welcoming him home and he could hear his grandmother's voice.  Without another thought he took a step................

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     .........and with a deep breath opened his eyes to the sounds of a siren, yelling voices, crying and complete and utter chaos.  What the hell was going on?!
     "BABY!  You came back to me!" he heard Ton yell as he gathered him into his arms.  Tommy's mind was filled with images of the strange dream he'd had, the utter chaos surrounding him as pack members, ranch hands and the like all ran around barking orders at each other, and the events that led to him lying on a gurney.  Suddenly memories assailed him.  Ton talking him into riding a horse by riding with him.  He and Ton laughing and teasing each other.  The feeling of being watched.  The sound of gunfire.  The horse falling, the searing pain in his back and then the blissful feeling of nothingness.
     "Ant?" his voice croaked as his hands clutched his mate to him tightly.  "Am I paralyzed Ant?  Baby?  Answer me!  Please!" he pleaded with his mate when the other man stayed quiet.  He felt Ton's body shaking with sobs as he lifted Tommy and sat on the gurney before  pulling his body into his lap.  Tommy looked down and realized that he couldn't move his legs,  He felt tears roll down his face before Ton even responded.
     "They won't know until we get you into a hospital, but it doesn't look good," Ton answered ignoring the paramedics who tried to get him to move so that they could get Tommy into an ambulance.
     "Will you still want me?  Even though I can't walk?" Tommy asked in a small voice as he gasped for breath, his body convulsing in pain.
     "Sir!  We really need to get your...boyfriend to a hospital!" one of the paramedics yelled at Ton.  Ton growled at the man and gently lowered Tommy back to the gurney.
     "He is my husband!  My mate! My partner," Ton responded with an angry growl at the paramedic who jumped a bit at the aggressive tone before nodding and grabbing the head of the gurney to assist his partner in getting Tommy into the ambulance.  Tommy locked eyes with Ton, afraid that the man wouldn't be joining him in the vehicle.  Afraid that he wouldn't want him anymore.  He breathed a sigh of relief when Ton climbed inside and took one of his hands while the paramedic worked to make sure that he stayed stabilized.
     Ton leaned down, close to his ear, "Nothing in this world would ever make me not want you.  You are my mate.  For better or for worse.  In sickness and in health.  To love, honor and cherish.  For richer or for poorer.  Forever.  You are mine and I will never let you go," the bigger man told him, his words loving and thick with emotion.
     "Me too," Tommy responded with a smile before he closed his eyes and tried to calm his racing his thoughts and his pounding heart.  He had thought his life had been turned upside down when he'd mated a wolf shifter...but that was nothing compared to now.  Would he be able to handle being paralyzed and what about Adam?  Did anyone catch him or was he still out there...waiting for his next chance to finish the job?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

     Adam followed the ambulance with a grim smile on his face.  He hadn't meant to shoot Tommy.  Tommy was his baby.  His love.  He would never do anything to seriously hurt him.  Oh, he'd have to rough Tommy up a few times, so that he knew his place, but he would never want him to die or to be paralyzed.  The bullets had been met for the other man.  The one they called Ton.  The huge, hulking mass of idiot that thought he could take Tommy away from him.  He'd gotten off easy last time, but next time he wouldn't miss.  Next time Ton would be the one fighting for life while Adam took Tommy to France with him...where he belonged...forever...until death did they part.

Inconceivable: Part Three

Part Three:

     Tommy woke up to pain.  Excruciating, blinding, heart-stopping, breath-stealing pain.  For a moment it was all he could think about.  The pain started at his head and worked all the way down his....what the fuck?  Did his dick hurt too?  He groaned and realized at that point that there were other people in the room with him.  The extremely deep voice of a man, the sexiest voice he'd ever heard, and a lighter, softer, more melodious sound of a woman.  Maybe they were the doctor and the nurse?  Maybe he was in the hospital?  That would make sense if he was run over by a Mac truck like he felt.
     "Baby?  Did you make a noise?  Please baby, respond...say something," he heard the man say and his heart pounded in his chest.  Baby?  Why was this man calling him baby?  That seemed a little inappropriate coming from his doctor.  He struggled to remember what had happened to him, where he was, who this man could be....he remembered....getting ready to move in with someone....a man, a big man....Anton!  Anton Forrester, the wolf shifter....oh yeah, they were on the road, they'd made it all the way to Virginia and then....he gasped as he remembered walking into the restroom.  He began thrashing on the bed, moaning and screaming as he relived the horror of his attack.
     "No!  No!  No!!" he screamed, tears rolling down his face, his mouth open and gasping for air, his arms and his legs thrashing about wildly as he tried to fight off his invisible attackers.
     "Tommy!  Baby!  Wake up!  You're safe.  I'm here,  they're gone.  I promise.  C'mon baby, please open your eyes, please," he heard the man say and instantly soothed.  His eyes popped open and he sat up quickly in pain, wincing in agony.  He looked around the room wildly and he saw Ton sitting on the bed next to him, his hands clutching his shoulders.  He threw himself into the bigger man's arms, uncaring of his injuries, unmindful of his appearance.
     "Oh god Ant!" he cried as he clutched the other man's shirt desperately, scrambling to climb up into the cowboy's lap.  He heard the other man making shushing noises in an effort to calm him and felt Ton's hands hold onto him firmly.  When another, more slender hand touched his back before rubbing his hair he stiffened and jerked away.
     "Tommy!  Baby!  It's okay.  It's just my sister, Luci.  She's a doctor, I called her and asked her to meet us here, to help you!" Ton stated frantically.
     Tommy looked over at the woman and assessed her.  She stood at his height, with long brown hair that fell to the middle of her back, a small pert nose, pink lips, a delicate almost disarming frame of body, with curves in all the right places, and as his eyes traveled back up he saw her eyes, her startling blue eyes.  Those eyes, filled with kindness, sadness for what he'd been through, anger at his attackers, sympathy for his anguish, and concern over his injuries, filled him with peace and he calmed instantly.  He heard Ton chuckle and looked over at him, much more calm and serene, more aware of his surroundings than he had been upon first waking.
     "Luci is an omega.  She has this ability to make people feel at ease and at peace.  It's sort of a special...gift she has.  I haven't seen her use it on a human in a while," Ton explained and Tommy nodded.  So Luci was a wolf shifter too.
     "Are they dead?" he asked, his voice devoid of emotion, raspy from screaming.  He saw Ton and Luci exchange looks before Ton answered him.
     "No, they're not.  They were injured pretty bad though, had to be put into the hospital, both for their injuries and because they said they saw the wolf that attacked them turn into a human before he picked up the other man in the bathroom, the one that they'd beat up," the Texan growled.
     Tommy's eyebrows lifted in amazement, "They confessed to beating me up?"
     "In their confusion and hysteria, yeah, they did," Ton said with a smile.  Tommy merely nodded again and looked around the room, before his eyes landed on the pamphlet on the table.
     "Mississippi?" he read aloud and looked over at Ton.  "We're in Mississippi?"
     Ton nodded and swallowed thickly.  "I tried to nurse you myself, but you were getting worse.  You wouldn't wake up, I wasn't sure if you were even alive.  I took you to the hospital, but they wanted to keep you overnight and wouldn't let me see you.  So I sneaked out with you and kept driving.  My sister was visiting a friend of hers here in Mississippi so we just met up here so she could care for you."
     Tommy looked over at Luci who merely smiled at him before answering, "I stitched you up, gave you a shot for the pain, wrapped your ribs, your wrist, your ankle.  I even had to bandage your head for a while."
     Tommy's hands flew to his hair and began to run through his curls frantically.  Ton grasped his hands and pulled them down.  "Don't worry, nothing was shaved or anything," he reassured him.  Tommy breathed a sigh of relief and crawled back up into the big wolf's lap before reaching out a hand to Luci.
     "Thank you so much," he said to her with a small smile.  He breathed a sigh of relief and felt exhaustion sweep back over him, he tried to fight against it, wanting the chance to get to know Luci but more than that, wanting to spend time with his wolf, his hero, his mate.  The thought of being Ton's mate didn't scare him as much anymore.  He'd survived a horrific attack because of this man, his man.  An attack he received because people couldn't accept the fact that everyone is different, and that which they saw as being socially normal was actually humanly abnormal.  Differences were what made up the human race, similarities were what made up drones and clones.
     "Get some sleep baby, we'll still be here when you wake up," he heard Ton's voice say and without another thought, he drifted off to sleep.

Unthinkable: Epilogue

Epilogue:

     "VET!!! GET IN HERE QUICK!!" Richard yelled and Vet felt his heart stop in his chest before it sped up quickly.  Hearing his mate's frantic voice, he slid out from underneath the sink and raced towards the living room.
     "What happened?  What's wrong?" he panted out, his eyes darting around the room looking for the source of his mate's panic when he saw nothing he looked back at his mate and then stopped in his tracks.  Richard was sitting on the floor with RJ standing in front of him, his hands on the baby's waist.  RJ was facing Vet, his hands stretched out towards him.
     "Watch Daddy.  Look at what our baby can do," Richard said with a grin before looking at RJ.  "Show Daddy what you can do RJ.  Go to Daddy."  Seconds later Richard released RJ and Vet's heart stuttered in his chest as the baby took one step, then another, then another.  Tears stung his eyes and he knelt before the little boy his arms open as the infant stumbled into his arms.  Lifting him into his arms, he clutched the baby to him tightly, tears rolling down his face.  He missed his sister Mandy so much at that moment.  Mandy should have been there to see her baby take his first steps.  She should have been there to see them grow up, to celebrate with them when Amy had said "Papa" for the first time while holding Richard's face.  He couldn't help feeling a little guilt because he knew that had Mandy still been alive he probably wouldn't have met Richard when he did and he wouldn't trade his life with his mate for anything in the world.
     It had been six months since the battle with Bobby Ray.  Six blissful months with the triplets.  They had welcomed all twenty-five of the rogue wolves into the pack, the farm and the ranch were flourishing, Richard had started teaching dance to some of the cubs in the pack, he had also started planting and maintaining their vegetable garden and their greenhouse.  Vet was extremely proud of him.  The triplets were thriving, growing up quickly, learning to walk and talk,  always smiling and laughing and happy and Vet knew it was all because of his mate.  With a final hug for RJ, he placed the little boy down on the floor and strode over to his mate.  Richard stood up with a smile on his face.
     "Aren't you proud Daddy?" Richard asked.  The two of them had taken to calling each other by what they wanted the triplets to call them whenever they were around.  Vet thought it was a little silly.  Atleast he did until Amy had called him "Dada" and then he'd grinned like an idiot for five hours.
     "I am so proud and so happy Papa," he responded before taking the smaller man into his arms.  "You have made me the happiest man in the world.  I love you more each day.  Thank you."
     Richard blinked up at him before a wide grin split his face, "I love you too my big puppy cowboy."  Richard laughed and took off running as Vet growled playfully and gave chase.  "I'm a wolf not a dog!" he yelled out before tossing his smaller man over his shoulder and heading towards the kitchen, where he laid his mate down on the counter and showed him the difference between a puppy and full-grown wolf shifter.
     Vet had never expected to find his mate in New York, had all but given up on having children of his own, but it turned out that what he'd thought was impossible and unthinkable turned out to be the greatest thing to ever happen to him.  He couldn't have asked for anything more.

                                                              THE END

*AAaawww, sad to have to say good bye to Vet and Richard.  But I've got another story idea called "Inconceivable" and it's about Anton "Ton" and Tommy, so we'll see Vet and Richard again.  Hope you enjoyed it!*

Unthinkable: Part Six

Part Six:

      When Richard opened his eyes he was slightly disoriented for a few minutes.  Where the hell was he?  Suddenly the past twenty-four hours came rushing back to his mind with sudden clarity.  Vernon "Vet" Tate, his deceased best friend's older brother, had found him and after saving his life had informed him that he had partial custody of AL's triplets.  They had met a great couple in an elevator at the hotel, he'd met the triplets and instantly fallen in love, they'd been miserable on the plan ride back to Texas, arriving late in the afternoon, they'd put the triplets down to sleep and then...his eyes snapped open from where they had slowly drifted closed.  Vet had told him that he was a wolf shifter, had partially "shifted" in front of him, they'd had sex and he'd asked Vet to "mate" him, then the other man...the wolf had bitten him.  He did a mental check of his body, his ass was sore from the plowing he'd received from Vet's huge cock, his neck was tender from the bite, but there was something else...off.  He felt a pressure in his head...not like a headache, but like another presence...another person was in his head?  Okay, he had officially fallen off his rocker.  He'd gone crazy.  Maybe he had actually been hit by that car and he was now in a hospital room because in all of those gay paranormal romance books he'd read, none of the other men had ever freaked out like he was about to.
      Calm down baby.  I know it's going to take some getting used to, but I would never hurt you.  And you're not crazy, you just kinda been made aware that the world isn't what you were taught to believe it was.  That it's bigger and more complicated than you can imagine, now will you please stop freaking out?  Because iffen I bring these babies in that room and they smell your anxiety and fear, it's going to set them off, he heard Vet say in his head and he gasped.  Sitting up quickly in bed he looked around.  Vet wasn't in the room with him, no one was there, lifting up the sheet he saw that someone, Vet, most likely, had put him in a pair of his pajama pants.  He looked at the door and saw the doorknob turning.  Trying to calm his racing heartbeat, he inhaled and exhaled deeply.  He could do this, he was fine, everything was okay.  If Vet wanted to eat him, he would've done it last night.  He heard Vet snort just before the door opened.
      "You think I wanna eat you?" he heard the big Texan's voice as he pushed in Curt, RJ and Amy in their stroller, all three babies wide awake and smiling at the appearance of Richard.
      "Hey, no making fun of the human.  I'm still trying to wrap my head around this," he admonished the other man before leaning over to lift out Amy who had begun to fuss.  Tickling her lightly, he looked up shyly at Vet where the other man stood staring down at him.  So what now? he asked mentally, hoping the other man received the question, he was unsure he would since he'd done it consciously instead of the other times when it just seemed as if the older man knew what he was thinking.
      Whatever you want.  I've gotta meet with my Beta, that's my second in command and a few of my Gammas, but that's me.  You can take the triplets and go shopping or garden or read in the library or watch tv...whatever you want.
      Richard was about to protest the idea of being a kept man like he was some househusband, when he looked down into sweet smiling face of baby Amy.  He could have his own pursuits in between caring for the triplets.
      "I'm not a househusband," he protested stubbornly and heard Vet snort.
      "Of course you're not.  You're the mate of the alpha.  Trust me, you're going to be working hard in no time," the other man said before walking over to place a gentle kiss on the top of Richard's head.  Richard smiled and lifted his head for a kiss.  Okay, so he was going to spend the rest of his life with a man who could shift into a wolf.  That wasn't necessarily a bad thing right?  From what he could see, Vet was loyal, upstanding, strong, had a great sense of humor, was possessive, but not overly so, caring, compassionate, a great brother, a fantastic uncle, a wonderful father and an amazing lover...he could do a lot worse.  And as their kiss deepened he amended his earlier statement to add another great trait, impossibly amazing kisser.  Oh yeah, he could do a whole lot worse.

      Hours later found Richard and the triplets in one of the empty bedrooms, music playing, all of the furniture pushed to one side, the triplets all watching Richard from their baby swings as he danced gracefully around the room.  The music was a fluid, pulsing beat, emotionally stirring, and when Vet found them, he found himself wanting to lay on the floor and just watch as Richard moved around the room.  The man truly was amazing.  Vet sat down right inside of the doorway, not wanting to get in Richard's way, but not wanting to miss anything either.  As Richard's legs and arms extended and his body spun in graceful circles, before sliding and leaping beautifully, Vet felt a warmth spread throughout his chest.  His mate was amazing.  He hadn't seen any type of professional dancing, usually the only type of dancing he saw was in one of the honkey tonk bars in town or one of the gay bars in Dallas.  What Richard was doing, however, it was more than dancing, Vet felt like he was actually seeing the music, the story, he was watching passion, heartache, pain, redemption and forgiveness in motion.  He was breathless and in awe at the abandon with which his mate danced and he felt himself growing erect behind the zipper of his jeans.  As the music faded away, he saw Richard give one final turn and with a small leap land right in front of him, his hand outstretched towards his face.  The music ended, another song starting and still the two of them remained frozen, their eyes locked on each other, Richard's hand still stretched out towards Vet's face.  Without thought Vet took Richard's hand and pulled the smaller man into his lap before taking his lips with his own and kissing him deeply, trying to convey with his kiss how watching Richard dance had made him feel.
     Pulling back from the kiss Vet smiled down into his mate's flushed face.  "You dance beautifully," he breathed across the other man's face.
     "Thank you," Richard breathed back.  No other words were needed and so Vet kissed his mate again, this time plunging his tongue inside the smaller man's open mouth.  He heard Richard groan and growled in response.  Their passion, always simmering beneath the surface began to boil out of control.  Someone clearing their voice in the hallway was the only thing to snap them out of their passionate haze.  Richard pulled back with a gasp and turned to look at who had intruded on their intimate moment.  Vet didn't need to look, he'd know that scent anywhere, it was his Beta, Anton Forrester, affectionately called "Ton" by all who knew him.
     "Sorry to interrupt Alpha, but you wanted me to let you know when those three new horses you had bought arrived," the large man stated and with a sigh Vet turned to look at him.  Ton stood a few inches taller than his own 6'7" and was about twenty pounds heavier, making him the perfect beta for the Tate clan, a clan made up of mostly alternative lifestyle families and individuals, here in Wichita Falls, Texas.
      "I could always take care of it for you Alpha if you want?" he could hear as well as smell Ton's amusement at the fact that he'd caught his alpha and his mate in a semi-compromising position.
       "Well, if you could do it yourself then why did you come and bother Vet?" Richard asked, annoyed.  Vet grinned with pride when he saw Ton bare his neck instantly and lower his eyes in submission.
      "Forgive me Alpha Mate, it won't happen again," Ton was instantly contrite and even though Vet knew Richard didn't fully understand Ton's reaction to him, the smaller man seemed to take it all in stride.  Nodding his head he gestured with his hand for Ton to raise his head.
      "it's nothing.  Just don't do it again.  What's your name?" Richard asked and Vet sat back against the doorframe, his legs spread wide on either side of the doorway, he pulled Richard around to settle him back against his chest and wrapped his arms around his mate's torso and waist.
      "My name's Anton Forrester, Alpha Mate, but most folks 'round these parts just call me Ton because of my size," Ton responded.  Vet heard Richard scoff at the nickname and smiled.  You could take the boy out of New York, but you couldn't take New York out of the boy and it was obviously going to take his mate some time to get used to the way those in the South liked to give everyone a nickname.  He'd have one before long and he probably wouldn't like it.
      "Well, Anton, are you mated?  Do you have a mate yet?" Richard asked, his head tilting slightly in a move of curiosity, unaware that he was showing submission to Ton.  Vet slowly and gently, straightened the other man's head, thankful that he could trust Ton to not attempt to challenge Richard for his show of submission.  He knew he'd have to explain things to Richard later.  Preferably when they were alone.
      "No, not yet, Alpha Mate," Ton responded and Vet felt more than heard Richard chuckle.
      "Please, call me Richard, I'm begging you.  Alpha Mate is a mouthful," he pointed out smiling when Ton nodded.  "Now then, we have got to find you a mate, and soon, so you'll know how it feels whenever you're near them.  How do you feel about cross-dressers?"

*I had to pay my respects to an industry that I'm no longer able to be involved in: Dance.  I used to dance contemporary and I can't anymore, but when you watch truly gifted dancers, they make you feel the same way that Richard made Vet feel.  Next installment goes up tomorrow!!*

Unthinkable: Part Three

Part Three:

    I'm not crazy....I am crazy....I have to be crazy....why the hell am I doing this?  Oh yeah because I'm crazy, Richard's inner monologue was going to actually drive him crazy if he didn't calm down.  Wiping his hands on his jeans, he slid his gaze over towards Vet's profile.  How could the other man be so calm about all of this?  Did he often fly halfway across the country to give people shared custody of newborns whose parents had died and then pack them up to move them back to Texas with him?  Maybe that's why he said he had an unusual family, maybe they're like a cult or something, he thought irrationally.  He grunted, he knew that he was being silly, he'd known AL for years and she'd never given off the vibe that she had been raised in a cult, she and Cameron seemed completely normal.  So why was it that being around Vet, talking with him, packing up to move with him, just felt so...weird?
    Maybe it's because it doesn't feel weird to you at all.  You feel like you've been waiting your whole life to meet this guy and now you're trying to talk yourself out of it.  He already gave you a way out and you know AL, this is just her style of leaving her children with you and letting you find out when you didn't have a way to argue back with her, Richard reasoned with himself.  He scoffed at himself.  He sounded like one of those mushy, hopelessly romantic, helpless characters in one of those romance books that AL was always reading.  Yeah right, who writes romantic stories about gay men anyway?
    "Here we are," Vet's deep, smooth as melted chocolate voice yanked him out of his musings and soothed his racing thoughts as well.
    "How do you that?" he asked without thinking.  He watched as Vet pulled the key out of the ignition and after unbuckling his seatbelt turned to face him.
   "Do what?" he questioned, dark, bushy eyebrows raised in amazement then lowered in confusion and Richard wanted to scream that he watched their movement with fascination.  He was sick...no, he was horny and he needed to get laid...like yesterday.
   "I don't know.  Talk," he responded, not making any sense.  He watched Vet's eyebrows lower further as if in complete consternation before he burst into deep, rumbling laughter.  Richard's watched as the older man's mouth opened as he laughed with his entire being and his heart caught in his chest...were those dimples in his cheeks?  He groaned, someone in heaven was laughing at him, wanting to see him squirm.
    "Well, like most people, I open my mouth, think words and they come outta my voice box, same as you," Vet responded in amusement, chuckling again when Richard huffed in annoyance.
    "You know what I mean!  You talk and I don't know...I feel peaceful, like someone's wrapping me in a blanket.  How do you do that?  Is that some sort of Southern hospitality, magic kind of thing?"
    Vet's body became rigid then and Richard's eyebrows rose at the reaction to his questions.  What had he said to make the big man act in such a way?
    "Do you believe in that stuff?" Vet asked, trying for a nonchalant tone.
    "What stuff?" Richard asked as the two men finally exited the vehicle and walked into the posh hotel and making their way towards the elevator.  Vet didn't respond at first, his face set in an impassive mask, his lips set in a grim line, if Richard didn't know better he'd think that the other man was nervous about something.  There was only one other couple in the elevator when they stepped on, a young couple, who couldn't seem to keep their hands off of each other.  Richard tried to look away but his eyes kept returning to their passionate kisses and bold caresses of each other.
   "Is that normal?" he heard Vet ask from where he stood behind him, his voice sounding strained and Richard wondered if the large Texan was as turned on by the other couple as he was.
  "For New York?  Yeah, it actually is," he responded, grinning widely when their voices finally carried over to the other couple who froze and as if slowly becoming aware of their surroundings and the fact that they were in a public place, they separated and grinned sheepishly at them.
   "Sorry," the smaller man, a gorgeous little blonde, said.  "We just found out that they legalized gay marriage in our home state."
    Richard nodded with a grin, he'd reacted much the same way when New York had done it...except he couldn't remember the name of the man he'd had sex with to celebrate that night, these two looked as if they were in it for the long haul.
   "Are you two planning on getting married then?" Vet asked politely as the elevator doors opened and the other couple prepared to step out.
   "Well, we've been together for years, adopted a son, had a daughter by surrogate, we're already a family and tell people that we're married, but yeah, we're going to make it official, just as soon as we can pack and fly back home," the larger man, dark haired, with a Stetson on his head replied.
    Richard laughed silently, it was like looking at mirror images of themselves almost.  Well, except for the fact that the other couple was in a committed relationship.
   "That's really great, where's home for you?" Richard asked, hoping that the two didn't mind that they were holding them up from leaving.
   "Ohio," the two men answered simultaneously before they both burst into laughter.  It was the happiest sound that Richard had ever heard.
   "Oh honey, we have to go call Vee, she promised to perform our wedding when it was legal," the smaller man replied.
   "Well, let's go call her then," the larger man responded.  Right then a phone rang and both men chuckled, "That's probably her.  Nice to meet you," the blonde answered and the two men stepped out of the elevator completely and walked away, chattering happily with their friend over the phone and planning their wedding.
   "I'm so happy for them," Richard responded quietly to Vet, his mind imagining his own non-existent, improbable wedding and marriage.
   "Yeah, me too," he heard Vet sigh behind him and he turned to look at the larger man as the elevator continued to move up to their floor.
   "So...what stuff?" he asked again, picking up their conversation from the car.
   "Oh.  Yeah, you know, like magic and shapeshifters and stuff," Vet responded, the tension returning to his body.
   Richard considered the question, he wasn't sure why the Texan was asking him such an absurd question.  Was he trying to prove that he was unfit to raise AL's children?  Well, no that couldn't be it, he'd talked Richard INTO coming, why would he be trying to talk him OUT of it now?  Maybe he meant it as a joke?  Richard shook his head mentally, Vet didn't really seem the type to joke around like normal people.  Deciding to take the question at face value, he decided to answer honestly.
   "Yeah, I guess I do kinda believe that stuff.  There are too many things that can't be explained, besides it would be the height of arrogance for humans to believe that we're so special we're the only species around that can talk.  I mean, if we can't discount aliens, then we can't discount werewolves, or shapeshifters, or wizards and witches.  Besides Jacob Black from the Twilight series is hot!" Richard responded with a smile.
    Vet laughed and nodded, the tension easing from his body as if Richard's response had eased his mind of some unspoken worry.  Before Richard could ask the other man about it, however, the doors opened to the Penthouse suite and Richard followed the larger man through the entryway into the living area of the suite.  He'd been a little shocked that Vet had the money and the reputation to have a Penthouse suite in the hotel, but he hadn't questioned him, how would he know how much money one could make as a farmer and a cowboy?  Maybe they made a lot.  Ridding his mind of the image of Vet in a pair of brown leather chaps and a Stetson, much like the one the man had in the elevator, his muscles rippling and sweaty from working outside all day, Richard tried to desperately think of anything that would make his erection dwindle.
    Acne, bunions, my grandmother naked, my parents having sex, wearing clothes completely out of season, that lost thought was so absurd that he gave a snort of laughter and realized that his erection had died somewhere along the way.  Waving his hand at Vet's look of question, he pasted a smile on his face as he stepped fully into the room and smiled at the couple sitting on the couch before turning to look at the babies, two of them sleeping in their carriers, while one stared right at him from his.  Richard felt his heart catch in his chest and lost it at that moment to those triplets.  There was no way he could walk away now.
    I guess I'm going to become a cowboy now.

*The couple from the elevator will be seen again, it's kind of a special thing for someone special, he knows who he is!  Hope you all enjoyed it!  Hopefully I'll put up part four tomorrow.  Have a great day!! VeeVee*

Passion's Hero: The Beta Prince (Teaser)

Here's a brief teaser for you Tumblings, this is the first few paragraphs from the beginning of Passion's Hero: The Beta Prince.

Percival moaned and thrust his hips faster as his hand stilled on the cock it held. The feelings coursing through him were glorious, supernatural, breath-taking. He never wanted it to end...he wanted it to end so that he could do it again...he was so confused he didn't know what he wanted. He bit his lip as he struggled not to groan loudly, the coppery taste of his own blood filling his mouth.

"C'mon baby, let go, I want to see you come, I want to feel you come all over my hand," the man next to him groaned in his ear as Percival remembered his part in this mutual handjob and began stroking faster. "Oh god baby, that's it, jerk my cock, make me come." Heeding the words of the broad shouldered man, Percival pressed a finger into the slit at the head of the man's cock and grinned when he felt the larger man tense before pearly white shots of his seed exploded over his hand.
 Opening his mouth to tease the older man, Percival gasped as he felt the tingling at the base of his spine that signaled his impending orgasm and yelled out the other man's name as his orgasm exploded over him, "Buck!"

Percy sat up in bed quickly, gasping and shaking from the after effects of his wet dream. Groaning he lay back on the bed and brushed away the tears that pooled in his eyes. He didn't know why he was still fantasizing about his one night with Buck, or rather Beta Prince Buckington Roughshire. The man was his mate, and should want to claim him, but he had rejected him and brutally tossed him aside after one passion-filled night of kisses and handjobs. He hated him...he loved him...he was his destiny. Percival sighed as he turned to climb out of bed, destiny sucked ass...and not in a good way.

What do you guys think?
